What will your data be used for?

MIK & Spelenderwijs only collects data from parents and children in the performance of its duties. Data are recorded for the purpose of:

  • keeping records of address and bank details in connection with billing and performance of the agreement;

  • keeping records relevant to the child's care, nurturing, supervision and development;

  • keeping contacts with the children's parents, guardians and caregivers;

  • applying for subsidy

Exchange of third-party data

MIK & Spelenderwijs aims to provide a safe and trusted living environment for every child entrusted to its care. Data is only exchanged with relevant persons and/or organisations on the basis of your explicit consent, such as, at:

  • transfer to preschool, day care (KDV), primary school, Buitenschoolse Opvang (BSO), secondary school and/or

  • data relating to your child's well-being or development.

In some situations, your consent is not required:

  • when there is a fear of immediate serious danger to your child or someone else's;

  • when you have previously given permission, as part of a support need, to share data, with certain staff working at other organisations;

  • when there is a legal duty to provide data.

Privacy rules  

  • we adhere to the privacy legislation and codes of conduct applicable within social work and childcare (such as duty of confidentiality); 

  • we do not ask for more personal data than is necessary for the proper performance of our services; 

  • we do not keep your data for longer than is necessary for the provision of services (or where applicable according to legal obligations); 

  • all data is carefully stored and secured so that no one can see it who does not have the right to do so; 

  • if it is necessary for the provision of services to request or exchange data, as a rule this will only be done if you give your prior consent (unless we are required to do so by law); 

  • you have the right to know what data about you is recorded and why; 

  • you have the right to inspect/copy the data being processed (to the extent that the privacy of another person is not violated in doing so); 

  • you have the right to request that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected, supplemented or deleted; 

  • you have the right to withdraw previously given consents.
